The distinctive music of Eduardo Reck Miranda is informed by his unique background as a classically trained composer and Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientist with an early involvement in electroacoustic and avant-garde pop music.
He composed for renowned ensembles such as the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. His opera, “Lampedusa“, was premiered by BBC Singers in 2019.

He leads the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research (ICCMR) at the University of Plymouth and is associated with Moth, an applied quantum technology company for the arts. In addition to concert music, he has composed for theatre and contemporary dance. The inside story of his acclaimed choral symphony, “Sound to Sea”, is revealed in the book “Thinking Music: The Inner Workings of a Composer’s Mind”, published by the University of Plymouth Press. His latest book, “Quantum Computer Music“, was published in 2022 by Springer.
