techno, raw-house ||
A1 – NO PICTURES (6:32)– Acid patterns are constructed on top of high-tension psychic bass-drums. “No Pictures” recalls some sides of the Roman acid-school (see Leo Anibaldi and Donato Dozzy), masterly personalized with the typical dark-attitude by IDGA.
A2 – NO GLITTER (5:46) – IDGA’s dark-attitude fully shines in “No Glitter”, where very obscure and dirty sounds merge hyper-compressed beats and killer drums. The track is characterized by wispy atmospheres for underground clubs.
B – NO GLITTER LUCRETIO RMX (6:00) – right from the ANALOGUE COPS, here is the typical raw-grafted house by LUCRETIO (Restoration Rec.), a breakthrough producer recently rocking dancefloors with his characterizing raw – big – house analogue tunes. His “No Glitter” rework goes straight to the point: four-to-the-floor raw-analogue power.

“Driven by analog machines, and with the Italian artist’s typically dark and gritty stamp on it, the EP is a masterclass in functional, club-focused minimalism; splatterings of acid run wild atop drum-machine rhythms and coarse, swirling pads. IDGA’s two originals, “No Pictures” and “No Glitter,” land backed by a remix from Lucretio of The Analog Cops, who twists the deep textures of “No Glitter” into a slamming slab of raw analog house.”

REVIEWED:
Beat Vision (Liverpool, UK) “Italian imprint 51 Beats add emphasis to their electronic experience delving into the world of analogue beats and bleeps with IDGA, bringing the ‘No Pictures, No Glitter’ EP…”
